CCROA ACC APPLICATION FORM (pdf)
DownloadProcedures To Obtain Approval
1. Fill out the ACC Application Form. It can be found at the very top of this page. Print it off.
2. Submit the fully completed form to any of the ACC members either in person or by snail mail at
CCROA
PO Box 292
Elbert, CO 80106
3. Upon review of your project plan description, the ACC will email you a Submittal Plan Checklist that details the information you need to submit. The submittal checklist will be based on the complexity of the project to be approved. Please submit (2) copies of the requested Submittals.
4. Please complete and provide all of the requested SUBMITTAL CHECKLIST items and submit 2 copies to the ACC in person, via email or snail mail.
5. The ACC has up to 30 days after receipt of a complete submittal to approve your project so please allow sufficient time for the ACC review.
6. Upon final decision by the ACC, you will receive the approval status signed by at least 2 members of the ACC. The ACC will return one copy of your approved plans with documentation of its actions.
7. If your project is not approved you may request a hearing with the ACC to see if a compromise or clarification will allow your project to move forward.
Remember: Construction which does not require an Elbert County Building Permit does NOT exclude the need to obtain approval for the ACC. If your project DOES require Elbert County Building or Zoning Approval you must submit a copy of those permits with your application.
Owners must have approval in writing by the ACC PRIOR to commencement of work.
In addition, the ACC must seek to assure that approved construction will be completed no later than nine (9) months after the date approved.
When requesting approval prior to your determination of the final outside exterior materials and colors a second approval must be obtained for these items before installation and before you place orders for those items. For example, plans for a new home are submitted and the Tract Owner has not yet decided what color and type of roofing to use and has not decided between wood siding and stucco.
Please feel free to contact an ACC member with ANY questions on the ACC process.
